Project Stage II received financial assistance from the Iloilo Provincial Government (IPG) for the construction of water system in the JRMP II Indigenous Peoples (IP) Housing in Sitio Agburi, Barangay Cahigon, Calinog. Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. personally handed the cheque to Punong Barangay (PB) Jinky Caras Lumogdang of Cahigon. Witnessing the turnover were Ruth Cely Jamelo, Division Manager for Institutional Development, and, Engineer Louie Agujitas, Section Chief of Contract Administration of the JRMP II. Also present was Ms. Mary Rose Matucan of Project Planning and Development Office (PPDO). Provision of water system in the Resettlement Site is part of the commitments of the NIA to the 32 relocating families whose houses are affected in the operation of the reservoir dam. NIA has partnered with the IPG in the delivery of commitments to the IP communities including road openings, among others. /JP Ramon Salvilla
