In preparation for the upcoming project implementation, the Jalaur River Multi-Purpose Project Stage II (JRMP II) conducted a job caravan in key cities of Wester Visayas. JRMP II caravan went to the Provinces of Aklan,Capiz, Antique and Negros Occidental.
“The purpose of the job caravan is to hire additional number of Technical Staff specifically civil engineers”, said Jacel J. Delgado, JRMP II Administrative Services Chief A (ASCA).
She added that the office is looking for qualified licensed civil engineers or civil engineering graduate to add to the additional workforce of JRMP II.
Meanwhile, JRMP II thanked the Local Government Units (LGU) and Public Employment Services Offices (PESO) of each province for their support and coordination during the said job caravan.
Announcements posted in their respective social media accounts and in the town’s or city’s bulletin boards were of big help in disseminating the job openings of JRMP II.
Competitive pay and ladderized promotion are among key benefits of JRMP II Engineers. Not to mention the experience to build a monumental dam as JRMP II .
After series of screenings, civil engineers were hired in addition to the growing family of JRMP II. Some are from provinces outside of Iloilo.
Engineer Arnel E. Gelvero, one of the newly-hired technical staff, said that working in the government is a privilege. He was hired right after his previous job ended.
“I felt so blessed. The experiences I’ll belearning in this project will be beneficial for my career growth”, he added.
According to him, the theories he learned in engineering school about building dams will be put to practice.
Meanwhile, Engineers Sheila Mae Gatiera and Jeraldyn Araquil are also additional work force of JRMP II.
